Fabulous Fabric stores in Paris.

Stoffenwinkel 1What time it is? Time to create our own stuff!

Yep that’s right, the time has come for all the creative people in the world. Express yourself! You don’t want to own the same pants as your teacher because they happened to be on sale. So, what can you do about it?

One word… DIY! Which means ”do it yourself”. There are countless ways to get inspired. For example: Pinterest is full of amazing DIY stuff, and I’m a big fan of it. While you’re there, don’t forget to check out the profile of myWorldofParis (and please subscribe)

I don’t have patterns for you, but I do know some great fabric stores in Paris where you can buy the most fabulous fabrics you can think of. All those fabric stores are located in Montmartre and they are all next to each other. A bit competitive but oh so convenient for shopping. My mother had to drag me out of the store, otherwise I probably had spend the night over there ;)

A point of attention are the prices. I found a stunning fabric with birds and flowers…but it costed €40 per meter. Suddenly the fabric wasn’t that pretty anymore, haha. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money , pay attention to the quality of the fabric. When you’re in doubt, don’t hesitate to ask the staff about it. They are there to help you out. There are also special price-off-corners with last scraps of fabric or fabrics that don’t belong to the regular assortment anymore. There is also plenty of choice with normal prices.

I’ll give you one address, the rest you’ll find automatically.
